In 2020, there would be no football being played at local high schools in September. This fall, the young men who put on the helmets and shoulder pads are out on the gridiron and will be playing football this weekend! Enjoy this!
Lancaster played for the Section VI Championship at Foyle/Kling Field on May 14th, just over 100 days ago against Orchard Park. It was an unusually short season played in the spring.
The Legends would accept the challenge that was presented to them and make the most of it. They would go undefeated in the 5 game regular season and move to the playoffs.
The first game should have been with Bennett making the trek to Lancaster but the game was canceled and the Legends moved on to the championship game. OP would beat Clarence for the 2nd time in their semi-final game and advance to the Championship.
It would be the first time the Section VI Championship game was played at Foyle/Kling field.
The Quakers would start the game off with the ball and move down the field for the first score on a pass to the right side of the field, extra point good, 7-0 OP.
On the first Lancaster possession, OP would intercept the ball at their own 18-yard line. The Legends defense would come up with a big 3 and out on that drive to force a punt. The Quaker punt would be short giving the home team a short field at the 36-yard line. The Legends would score on a 7-yard run to make the score 7-7.

Only one change to Class AA this season with Frontier moving to Class A. The rest of the Class is the same as Fall II season. The teams are: Bennett, Clarence, Hutch Tech, Lancaster, Niagara Falls, Orchard Park, and Williamsville North.
Saturday afternoon the Lancaster Legends will travel to Lockport NY to take on the Lions of Lockport High School. Lancaster holds the lead in the series 21-10 with wins in the last 11 meetings. This is the 6th time since 2005 that these 2 squads have started their seasons playing against each other.
In 1999, these same 2 teams played at Ralph Wilson Stadium with the Section VI Class AA Championship on the line. Lancaster would go on and win that game 21-14
