Lancaster Bee: Lancaster football bounces back with win over Niagara Falls
Lancaster will be hosting the Niagara Falls Wolverines this Friday Night at Foyle-Kling Field for a 7:30 kickoff. This will be the 15th match-up with the Wolverines with Lancaster holding a 10-4 series lead. The first game between these 2 schools was in 1921, Niagara Falls would prevail 27-0 and again in 1922 by a score of 37-0. Last year the Legends traveled up the 190 to Niagara Falls for a matchup in Week 4. Lancaster was able to come away with a 41-8 victory. Read more about Lancaster/NF!
Lancaster traveled to All-Stadium to the Bennett Tigers and lost 35-42. It was the first loss against a Section VI team since 2015 when Kenmore West beat the Legends in the 2nd round of the playoffs that year. More on that Kenmore West game
The Legends were out in front at the half 21-16 and added to the lead in the 3rd quarter 28-16. Bennett would not be out done and would gain the momentum and the lead and pull away late in the game. Lancaster vs Bennett can be read here.
Niagara Falls last week Saturday hosted the Clarence Red Devils for a 2:00 kickoff. The Wolverines were out scored 34-12 at the end of the game to place their record 1-4 on the 2018 season.
