The last time the Legends were on a football field they were in Syracuse, NY playing for the State Championship in the Carrier Dome. Hopes were high after arguably the best season in Lancaster Football History. They would walk off the field with heads high but were one win away from that Championship. More on that Troy game here.
That is all in the past as the Legends begin the 2018 football season.
The game Friday night will be the 30th meeting between the two schools with Lancaster having the edge with 19 wins and 10 losses. They will try to make it 20 Friday as they know they have a target on their back as they have been able to win the Section the past 2 years.
Lockport will be looking to bounce back from last season and get 2018 off on the right step. History is working against the Lions as they have not beaten the Legends since 2003. These 2 schools have played against each other in 1999 for the Section VI Championship with Lancaster coming out on top 21-14.
