Last Time Out
A wild game for Game 1. Lancaster beat McKinley last week at All High Stadium for a Non-League matchup.
Lancaster got on the board first with a 27 yard TD pass to a wide open WR.

McKinley scored 22 straight points to go ahead 22-7 until on one of the last plays of the 3rd Quarter, the Legends scored, 22-14.
The Macks would have a shot deep in the Legends end with a 1st and goal but were stopped after 4 plays. After the teams would punt the ball, Lancaster had a drive start at the McKinley 17 yard line.
The Legends would face two 4th downs to continue the drive and they converted both of them. A 36 yard pass to the McKinley 22 got the drive moving. The team moved to the 11 and threw the pass into the endzone that connected, 22-20. The Legends went for 2 and got the score, 22-22, 1:39 left in the game.

In overtime, Mckinley scored but did not convert the point after. Lancaster would also score and tie the game up once again, but would make the extra point, 29-28 Final.
Lancaster vs Orchard Park
The Legends will welcoming the Orchard Park Quakers this Friday Night for the Home opener. Orchard Park played Health Sciences Charter School last week at Buffalo State. The Falcons were able to earn the victory 40-13 against the Quakers.
Lancaster has won the last 7 matchups with OP and looking to win this first Class AA game of 2025. Kickoff is set for 7pm
Class AA
Week 1 saw only one game among Class AA playing against each other, Niagara Falls hosted the Bennett Tigers. Bennett would go up early and hang onto the Win, 18-13. Everyone else played out of conference games, Jamestown played Williamsville North and Lockport played Kenmore West Blue Devils. No video of OP/Health Sciences game.

Keeping an Eye On - Section V
In 2016 the Lancaster Football team played in the Far West Regionals at New Era Field against the Section V winner, Victor Blue Devils. Since that season, only 2 teams have captured the Section V crown and have advanced out of the Rochester area, McQuaid and Aquinas.
2025 is a new year and there are teams that may compete against those 2 to win the title and move to the next round.
Pittsford, Fairport, and Rush Henrietta each won last week. Pittsford beat Victor 27-17, Fairport beat Ithaca 42-0 and Rush won 52-7 over Elmira.
This week Fairport plays Aquinas and Rush plays McQuaid, much will be learned.
