Friday night the Lancaster Legends will travel south to Jamestown, NY to take on the Red Raiders at Strider Field. Lancaster currently sits at 5-0 and tied for 1st place in Section VI AA while Jamestown is 4-1 having lost last week to Williamsville North.
Lancaster comes into week 6 scoring an average of 50.4 points per game through the first 5 contests. They have scored 37 touchdowns and moved the ball for 1721 total yards of offense.
The Defense has 5 fumble recoveries and has intercepted the ball 7 times. They have given up a total of 72 points for an average of 14.4 points a game.
Jamestown is averaging 30.2 points a game with a total of 20 TD’s scored. The offense has gained 1514 yards with an average of 302.8 yards/game.
The Red Raider defense has intercepted opposing teams 4 times while recovering 14 fumbles. They have been getting to the QB as well with 16.5 sacks and 60 QB hurries. The have given up just 75 points with 41 of those Williamsville North earning last week.
Jamestown made the trek north to Foyle-Kling Field and were handed a 56-14 loss in week 2. Lancaster would jump out to an early lead scoring 21 points in both the 1st and 2nd quarters, going into the half 42-0. Lancaster would break the all-time record for points in this game with 56 points scored. A week later they were able to score 56 points again against Frontier and tie their own record.
